    I am an accredited teacher currently looking for employment in a K-6 classroom. My strengths include drama, puppetry, and storytelling. I enjoy challenging myself to find exciting and engaging ways to address all areas of the required curriculum.

    9/07 - Present
    Teaching bilingual pre-school “moyen section bilingue” (MSB) at the lycée franco-japonais de Tokyo. Because this is a new program at the school, I am responsible for curriculum and assessment development. Benchmarks are set by the French government.

    9/06 - Present
    Substitute teaching at the American School In Japan (ASIF) grades K-5 and Specials. Several four-day long stints in 2nd grade and for the Music and PE teacher.
    Volunteering in the 4th grade, helping to organize games and activities during 4th grade field trips. Assisting with ASIJ swim meets, lining up swimmers for their events in the correct lanes. Volunteering in the library, key-wording articles and preparing new books for shelving.
    Private English tutor for 2nd-5th grade students. Taught two six-week drama sessions, culminating with performances.

    8/02 - 12/03 Enrolled in the Multiple-Subject Teacher Credential Program at California State University, Sacramento. Training includes over 150 days of student teaching along with many more days of solo and substitute teaching. Teaching experience in first grade classrooms and in a 5th/6th combination class.

    Student teaching experience at Village Elementary and Ridgepoint Elementary in the Rio Linda Unified School District in North Highlands, CA and at Birch Lane Elementary in Davis, CA.

    Graduated in December of 2003.
